FAQs

  • We accept Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, United HealthCare, Cigna, Molina, Blue Cross Community Health, Meridian, Aetna Better Health, and Youthcare.

  • Therapy within our agency is the time and space used for processing, sharing, and decompressing different life events and relationships in individual, family, and group counseling settings. Our agency focuses on overall wellness by helping individuals gain a variety of new tools to apply to daily life for significant improvements and furthering personal well-being, with support from skilled and empathetic therapists.

  • When coming into therapy for the first time you can expect to engage with a welcoming and supportive team within a calm environment, free of judgment, where you can exhale and decompress about internalized struggles and different topics you wish to explore with a highly-skilled professional counselor.

  • During your first session, there is paperwork to be completed. You can expect many questions to be extended to your surrounding family history, medical history, and any concerning areas causing difficulties in managing day-to-day life while focusing on strengths you have that can be developed further.

  • Everyone’s mental health journey is a little different, so the length of time varies. Some individuals seek counseling for 6 months, and others are looking for longer-term specialized support from our clinical team.

  • Therapeutic success is measured based on how much effort is given by the individual seeking care. Progress is clinically measured every six months to help modify treatment goals and objectives to ensure each person’s needs are being met with different intervention strategies and modalities. Corresponding comprehensive psycho-education within a variety of topics is also explored, to help each individual flourish and grow.

  • Although we can personalize therapeutic sessions to help reduce symptomatic struggles surrounding anger management and different comorbid issues of substance abuse, we do not offer these specific specialty counseling services for treatment modalities.

  • We help support community members without bias or judgment for members of all races, genders, sexuality, religions, and/or any other unique identifier an individual identifies with.

  • Confidentiality is guaranteed within our agency to allow clients and therapists to be able to build stronger rapport and trust. The only time disclosure would be mandated to report is if there is known harm happening (past or present) in terms of abuse or neglect or if there is full intent and plan for suicidal or homicidal potentiality.

  • With prior client authorizations, therapists can connect and work with other professionals to better support individuals’ needs more holistically by capturing the bigger picture of clinical needs for each person. These connections are typically with medical professionals, other public supports (case managers, probation officers, etc.), and any other persons and individuals who may benefit clients’ internal healing process.
